Lyrics
As I hold ubiquitous eyes
On my dominion's life
O' why should I feel lonely tonight?

I've found I haven't spotted you 'round
Does something keep you bound?
This crown I'd gladly trade for your shroud

You fly through my mind
Escaping over again and over again
A fly in your eyes
You snare me over again and over again

In this dormiveglian mist
I feel your fingertips
Our syzygy begins with your lips

My guard has been dismissed to the dark
I'm at your beck and call
I'd give all mine for your dominion

A fly in your eyes
You'll snare me over again and over again
The stars in your eyes
I'll steal them over again and over again
'Til death

About the song

For those of you who have seen the animated series Ĉon Flux, this one should be obvious. For those that haven't, git onnit!

Yes, the song is an ode of yearning from Trevor Goodchild to the titular character, but really it's about the folly of wanting to be in complete control over everything in life. Not only is it an impossiblity, but there's also a selfishness - whether intended or not - inherent in such a desrire. Pride cometh before the fall, and all that jazz.

After all, isn't in more fun if we cede control every once in a while?

PHUN PHACT: Jerzy Jung, who recreated Ĉon's classic line for the intro, is also an astonishing musician! Check her stuff out here!
